Athletic & Training Background

I grew up playing football and lacrosse, injuries derailed any chance to play post secondary sports and I turned my attention to strength and conditioning, studying it extensively during my undergraduate degree.

I worked as a Strength and Conditioning Coach since 2010, training athletes from amateur to professional and helping with all aspects of elite performance.

I have competed in Powerlifting, experiencing and solving many of my own problems along the way. Throughout my athletic career, I have injured essentially every area in my body and can fully empathize with the frustration that comes with it. I know what it is like to be sidelined, and know how to get back to sport quickly.

Current Role Working with Athletes

While earning my Masters Degree in Sports Medicine, I worked extensively with high school and collegiate athletes on the sideline and in the training room, focusing on injury diagnosis and return to play rehabilitation.

Currently I work with athletes of all ages and sports in a clinical setting, I also offer barbell specific coaching and rehabilitation program design/coaching to minimize detraining and get athletes back to competition as fast as possible.

Professional Philosophy

Before we start with treatment, I want to know as much as I can; past injury history, concerns, goals etc. and I want you to fully understand what is going on. Once we identify the aggravating factors and get you on board with understanding your issue and taking the right steps to avoid making things worse, then we can work on building you back up, often times better than before the injury.

Active care is at the forefront of an appointment with me, and I believe in patient independence. My patients receive home care to reduce their symptoms on the first visit. Good things happen when we work together to manage whatever ailment they come in with. There are no long term treatment plans with me.

With a background in strength and conditioning and sport, I can speak the same language as your current coach or trainer, or fully assist you every step of the way from initial injury back to 100%.
