Training Athletes to Breathe Better to Move Better & Feel Better
Many of us recognize the link between breathing and physiology, but most don’t realize its impact on posture, stability and mobility. Fewer still, understand how to harness its power. With the right training, we can leverage breathing biomechanics as our most fundamental movement pattern to enhance the quality of virtually all other movement patterns—as well as positively impact our ability to think and react optimally. That’s why teaching breathing is the foundation of Dana’s work with professional athletes. During this session, you’ll not only learn the power of breathing functionally but also how/why to integrate simple-yet-profoundly-effective breathing-based mobility exercises and techniques into your overall training programs. Better t-spine rotation? More fluid power cleans? Enhanced ability to recover? We’ll cover all of this and more.
