Athletic & Training Background

I played football and baseball in high school. It was during this time I became passionate about exercise. Even though my athletic career ended in high school my passion for fitness did not. I worked out in college and the early part of my professional career performing mostly bodybuilding type of exercises until I was introduced to crossfit in 2010. Since then I have made crossfit my way of staying fit.

Current Role Working with Athletes

Aside from working with athletes in the clinic, I am also a Crossfit Coach at a local box, Crossfit Roux. In addition to instruction a lifting session or a metcon, I have also implemented a mobility class. The main objective of the mobility class is to improve movement in order to reduce the risk of injury. I have designed specific warm-ups and mobility drills in order to address the athletes specific movement dysfunction/limitation.

Professional Philosophy

My main goal is to help my clients return to performing the activities they love. I utilize a number of techniques including pain science education, novel movements, breathing techniques, manual therapy, dry needling, and corrective exercises. I believe it is important to assess each client before and after a treatment to see if the treatment created the desired outcome intended.

Greatness is a lot of small things done well day after day.
