Athletic & Training Background

Meg is an avid CrossFit athlete and hockey player who dedicates much of her week to training and competing, in the pursuit of better health and performance. She enjoys the community and team atmosphere that encourages everyone to give their all and enjoys the shared pain of a brutal WOD.
She also specialises in movement and mobility, implementing a fusion on yoga, movement culture, pilates and Crossfit movement patterns to focus on improving her own mechanics and rehabilitation, as well as her athletes.

Current Role Working with Athletes

Meg's business Optimal Performance Osteopathy currently works with athletes across South East, England, from CrossFit athletes, Endurance athletes, Hockey Players across varying age groups.

CrossFit and Weightlifting athletes who want to improve their performance and health from the basics up.
Meg works with the athletes assessing and implementing movement training to boost their perform across a broad range of activities.

Professional Philosophy

Meg focuses her athletes on becomes masters of the basics, she believes moving more would benefit everybody. With many athletes having the strength and knowledge to execute a movement but still struggling- they are usually lacking the basic mobility and movement ability to perform to their highest level.

Athletes benefit from osteopathic treatment by gaining improved range of motion and flexibility, as well as general improvement in recovery and energy before and during workouts. This is because areas of restriction in the body can lead to inefficient performance, this is because your body has to work harder due to its mechanics working under altered structure and therefore function.

By implementing movement training and Osteopathic treatment Meg builds athletes that are able to keep form and performance even when fatigued. Meg expects her athletes to give as much effort and determination to their mobility and movement work as they do their WODs and in return she works tirelessly to help them reach their health and performance goals.
