Athletic & Training Background

I became interested in Fitness in 2007, primarily focusing on weight training and indoor cycling. This interest turned viral shortly after it begun and also led to her change of focus from business to nutrition while attending University. My interest in CrossFit, began a little over a year ago and I instantly became hooked. After being a cycling instructor for 2 years I left the instructing world to focus on Weightlifting, Olympic lifting as well as CrossFit.

Current Role Working With Athletes

My involvement with athletics as a clinician lies solely with nutrition. It is my mission to feed the athlete, to fuel their potential. All nutritional programming is athlete specific, customized to their goals, whether it be to improve endurance, strength, performance, improve recovery, or cut weight for competition. Program design also expands to the specific nutritional planning of a  competition or race in order to make sure the athlete is getting the proper nutrition to compete and perform at their fullest potential. My programming is written off science based research and the goal(s) of you, the athlete. It has been my greatest achievement to see my athletes prosper in both strength, recovery and most importantly, their goals. As a dietitian-nutritionist I believe in working together as a team to accomplish goals and strive for success.

Professional Philosophy

Food is our fuel, it is my mission to fuel your potential. When I first begin working with you, I believe it is important to explore your past and present in relation to nutrition, athleticism as well your general everyday life. It is important to know where you have been to know where you want to go! I believe it is important to keep track on daily nutrition in relation to daily life, training and recovery, to explore how our bodies react to food.

It is crucial to discover any barriers that can hinder progress and find a solution to break those barriers. Then I apply science based nutrition, I fuel you - the correct amount of calories and macronutrient ratios timed to your athleticism and lifestyle. Whether you train once or twice per day, for one hour or for five hours, whether it be volume training or metabolic conditioning. You will have a program that will cover all of the areas you need.
