Athletic & Training Background
I grew up playing soccer all throughout my adolescence, high school, and even into the Marine Corps. I've been training in bodybuilding for about 15 years and more recently started training in powerlifting and now CrossFit.
Current Role Working with Athletes
I see athletes from all sports including softball players, ballet dancers, soccer players and barbell athletes. I perform gait analyses on runners through slow motion capture technology and prescribe treatment plans based on the findings. I also am a Clinical Athlete Certified Weightlifting coach, specializing in addressing movement dysfunctions with the Snatch and Clean & Jerk.
I believe that physical therapists are movement professionals who are trained to assess movement discrepancies and correct them. I think that we should play a bigger role in "prehab" to diminish the need of invasive surgeries, procedures and diagnostic imaging.
"Lack of activity destroys the condition of every human being, while movement and methodical physical exercise save it and preserve it."
