Athletic & Training Background

I grew up playing a variety of sports, from baseball to soccer, tennis to fencing, volleyball to golf, and so much more. Had a stint as a gym rat, testing biomechanics, but fell back in love with surfing when I returned home to Santa Cruz in 2006. A friend introduced me to CrossFit in 2009 and we now own and operate CrossFit UP, so my current training involves CrossFit, surfing and anything active with my family and friends.

Current Role Working with Athletes

As a physical therapist, I work with CF Games Athletes, high school and college athletes and weekend warriors in rehab and injury prevention roles. As we own and operate CrossFit UP as a part of DeWitt Physical Therapy, I also coach WODs, write our corrective programming, develop programs and put on clinics for athletes and coaches alike.

Professional Philosophy

Our role as rehab and fitness experts is to help others Feel Better, Move Better and Perform Better through manual therapy, movement screening and corrective exercise implementation. I hope to inspire my team of clinicians and coaches to best support our every day and extraordinary athletes in their personal quests through evidence- and movement-based methods for optimal performance.
