Athletic & Training Background
Grew up playing football my entire childhood. Also participated in pole vaulting. In college, I worked for the University of North Carolina's Football Strength & Conditioning program as well as competed in Team Handball. Now, my training focuses on Olympic Weightlifting and CrossFit.
Current Role Working with AthletesI treat a 95% caseload of athletes of all levels - from individuals training for their first 5k to NFL players and CrossFit games athletes. I also coach at CrossFit Kaiju and have been writing performance/mobility/injury prevention articles for CrossFit Journal for the past two years. I also run www.TheBarbellPhysio.com where I regularly publish content with the goal of "improving athletic performance, injury prevention, & rehabilitation."
I am heavily manual therapy based, performing a lot of joint mobilizations/manipulations, soft tissue treatment, and dry needling. I believe that strength & stability are crucial components of injury prevention and rehab and push my patients hard to develop stability.
If you want something you've never had, you must be willing to do something you've never done.
